Sangeeta Samyoga
Srividya Ramanath and Bhargavi Balasubramanian, who were best buddies in college, never imagined that their deep passion for Carnatic Classical Music and rich taste for traditional music would build their 20 year friendship into a professional collaboration. Thus was born ‘Sangeeta Samyoga’ – the mellifluous confluence of two richly classical bhanis of Shri Ravikiran and Shri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. This collaboration highlighted the two distinct styles, yet creating a unique harmony of melody & aesthetics.
Sympathetic Resonance
Ranjani Ramakrishnan (a sensitive and extremely vibrant violinist) & Bhargavi have shared stage on multiple occasions including being part of the music ensembles for several prestigious dance operas at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival. In 2018, they collaborated to present ‘Sympathetic Resonance’ – a duet concert of Chitravina & Viola d’amore (Ranjani’s self- designed violin with sympathetic strings). This collaboration received a very raving response from the audiences.
Strains & Strings
Bhargavi collaborated with the dynamic & popular vocal duo, Anahita & Apoorva Ravindran to present a series of voice trio presentations and Vocal-Chitravina trio concerts both in India and USA. Being artist peers from the same school of music aided this collaboration to sound extremely pleasing and well-synced.
Bhargavi has also collaborated to present Chitravina duets & vocal-chitravina duet with Vishaal Sapuram
